Comfortable stay, but not perfect

We enjoyed our stay with clean rooms and a friendly staff. The location just steps from the beach made our mornings special as we strolled along the shore.

However, the bed was too firm for our taste, making for restless nights. The lack of coffee pods in our room also left us unprepared for our morning routine.

great location but some limitations

The ocean front view from my third-floor studio was stunning, making every morning a delight. The motel's classic design added to its charm, embodying a nostalgic beach atmosphere I appreciate. The quiet environment after Labor Day was perfect for relaxation, making it feel like a hidden gem. I enjoyed a lovely sea view during my stay, which was a highlight.

Unfortunately, the absence of an elevator made hauling my luggage a challenge.

Dined like a king at Lemma's Beach Grill—those tacos were next level! The outdoor dining vibe was on point. The location was beachside bliss. For a chill breakfast, Reges Cafe had the best bagels! Also, the room was clean and comfy, making our stay more enjoyable.

Now, the beds? Like sleeping on a slab—no thanks! a few simple continental options would’ve been sweet.

I loved the classic decor of the rooms, which created a nostalgic ambiance and made it easy for me to navigate around the well-maintained premises. The close proximity to the beach and local attractions was delightful.

A few more handrails for stairs would help.

Clean and comfortable room with a full-size refrigerator and cooking utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. The location is fantastic, just steps from the beach, enhancing the overall experience. However, there were no cups for beverages, and the lack of breakfast options was disappointing. While the friendly staff contributed positively, a few more handrails for the stairs would improve accessibility, especially on the higher floors.

I loved the location of the Commander By The Sea Motel in Wildwood Crest. Being just steps from the beach made it super convenient. The room setup was nice with a kitchenette. This made preparing simple meals easy, and having utensils available was a plus. The view from my third-floor oceanfront room was incredible, especially at sunset. I enjoyed the nostalgic vibe of the motel. it felt like a traditional beach getaway. However, there were several issues that need addressing. The air conditioning unit was incredibly loud at night, making it difficult to sleep. The mattress could use an upgrade. it was on the harder side, which I found uncomfortable. I also noticed the cleaning wasn't up to par. the balcony carpet was old and the pillows could definitely be replaced. While the staff were friendly, they seemed overwhelmed, leading to delays in housekeeping. I’d love to see some updates made to enhance the stay for future visitors. Still, I’d consider returning for the beach proximity and ocean view.

Family vacation memories made

So we took the family for a getaway and the hotel had a really nice pool area which the kids loved-perfect for a little evening splash. Also enjoyed the ocean view from our suite which wasn’t advertised but it was a pleasant surprise.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but I suppose you get what you pay for.

This place was just a perfect match for a fleeting moment in Wildwood Crest, great for the money. The fridge was dirty when we arrived, which was quite disappointing. Make sure to bring cleaning supplies if you stay here.

The location was fantastic with easy beach access, and the staff were friendly. The room was clean, but parking was tight, and the air conditioning could use an upgrade. It's not the fanciest place, but it serves its purpose for a family vacation.
